FYI, Quickbooks II
This past summer, I warned of the number of programs that would not work with Apple’s newest operating system, Lion.
In there, I said “no version of Quickbooks for Mac is compatible with OS X (10.7).”
In the intervening months, Intuit has shipped Quickbooks for Mac 2012. That version is compatible with 10.8, more commonly known as “Lion.”
If you have an earlier version and want to switch to Lion, you’ll need to get a new copy of Quickbooks for Mac. The price for current Quickbooks users is about $190.
You may want to consider switching to AccountEdge, which has a corresponding app for iPads and iPhones. The AccountEdge people seem more in tune with Mac users.
