Windows 7

Windows 7 has had a good run, but now it's time to let it go.
The OS was a much improved replacement for Windows XP and Windows Vista, but it originally shipped in July 2009. That's an eternity in the computer world. Yes, there was a Service Pack, which fixed bugs and added some features, but that was released back in February of 2011. And there was a follow-on platform update that added a number of significant features, but that was in February 2013.
Since then, Microsoft has release Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 10 (Anniversary Edition).
Any computer that was shipped with Windows 7 and bought retail is likely to be long in the tooth and probably should be replaced.
Add is the fact that Microsoft has already cut the first level of support for Windows 7 and it's time to let it go.
