OK, Pick up the Pace

Mac OS Sierra has been out about five months now. If your hardware supports it, you should install it.

It's faster, it sets the stage for improved security and file safety and allows better synchronization between Mac and IOS devices.

The two big problems have been with incompatible software.
  • Users of Fujitsu's incomparable ScanSnap scanners were stymied by a bug — now fixed — that screwed up some PDFs
  • Users of Quicken Essentials were thrown off the boat. The new owner dropped support for Essentials and users need to upgrade (for a fee, of course) to Quicken 2017.

Sierra should run on any Mac 2010 or later. It will run on select 2009 MacBooks.
